FAQ
Does the Aquarium Cleaner need electricity?
The Aquarium Cleaner does not use electricity directly.
It connects to an air pump and operates using the buoyancy of air bubbles.
Please purchase an air pump separately.
How do I choose the right Aquarium Cleaner size?
Choose the size based on water depth, rather than the overall size of your aquarium.
S suits water depths of 18–27 cm, M suits 27–45 cm, and L suits 35–60 cm.
No bubbles are coming out of the airstone.
The air hose may be connected to the end of the airstone that has no grooves.
Connect the air hose to the grooved end on the opposite side. This creates 12 air outlets through which the bubbles disperse.
Why does the Aquarium Cleaner keep floating?
The Aquarium Cleaner is designed to operate normally at the pressure of a 1.5 W air pump to minimize noise.
With excessive pressure, air that cannot escape accumulates inside the cleaner, causing it to float.
If using a high-pressure pump, adjust the airflow so the water level inside the cleaner is about 1 cm above the aquarium water surface.
Suction is weak after installing the Aquarium Cleaner.
For normal operation, the entire sponge filter should be submerged with its top about 1 cm below the water surface, while the cleaner cap remains above the surface.
Adjust the pipe set length so the top of the sponge filter is not exposed above the water.
If suction weakens after extended use, the filter may be clogged. Clean it using the correct method.
How should I clean the sponge filter?
Wash the sponge filter with ordinary tap water every 1–2 days.
Fill a bowl with tap water and squeeze the sponge filter while it is fully submerged.
Washing it underwater helps remove fine debris from inside the sponge.
Note: If your aquarium has aquasoil or sand, clean the filter more thoroughly to maintain its performance.
How often should I replace the sponge filter?
The replacement interval depends on the conditions in which the product is used.
With proper cleaning, the sponge filter can generally be used for at least 3–6 months.
